GUJRAT, Oct 01 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) inspected 75 food outlets and issued 31 improvement notices for violations of food safety regulations across the district on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson, enforcement teams imposed five fines and recovered a total of Rs 52,000 from various food business operators for failing to comply with established food safety standards during the special inspection campaign.
During the operations, the teams also discarded 100 liters of substandard milk and seven liters of contaminated water on the spot.
Further investigations were underway.
