Ashrafi strongly condemns Houthi attacks, offers condolences to family of martyred Bangladeshi Umrah pilgrim
ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (APP): Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council and Secretary-General of the International Tazeem-e-Haramain Sharifain Council, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has expressed deep sorrow, condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Bangladeshi Umrah pilgrim Mufti Nasrullah, who was martyred in a Houthi terrorist attack while in a state of Ahram.
He contacted injured Umrah pilgrims receiving treatment at various hospitals in Riyadh to inquire about their health and prayed for their speedy recovery.
Strongly condemning the Houthi terrorist attacks, Ashrafi said targeting the guests of Allah and innocent civilians was an act of brutality and a blatant violation of Islamic teachings and human values. He said there could be no justification for such barbaric crimes.
He expressed complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people in ensuring the security of the Haramain Sharifain, pilgrims and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ashrafi directed Mufti Hamza Shaheed-ul-Islam, head of the Islamic Centre of Bangladesh, to keep him continuously informed about the condition of the injured pilgrims and matters relating to the martyred Mufti Nasrullah, and to extend all possible assistance to the affected pilgrims and their families.
He prayed that Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of martyred Mufti Nasrullah, grant patience and fortitude to his family, bless all the injured with a speedy and complete recovery, and protect the Haramain Sharifain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the entire Muslim Ummah from all evil and discord.
