GUJRAT, Oct 29 (APP): The University of Gujrat (UoG) has organised a workshop on Python programming and its role in artificial intelligence (AI) at its Hafiz Hayat Campus to equip students, research scholars and faculty members with relevant programming skills.
According to a university spokesperson, the workshop titled Python for All, A Step Towards AI Programming was organised by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology to help participants understand Python and its applications in AI-assisted research and learning.
Professor Dr Azad Hussain, chairperson of the Department of Mathematics, was the chief guest at the inaugural session. Assistant Professor Dr Muhammad Usman Ali of the Department of Information Technology served as the resource person and coordinator. Dr Safiullah Marwat and Dr Muhammad Wasif participated as assistant instructors.
Addressing the participants, Dr Azad Hussain stressed the importance of research tools and continuous learning in the modern technological era. He said Python played an important role in making effective use of AI and urged students to apply their knowledge for public welfare.
Dr Muhammad Usman Ali said AI had become an important part of modern life and required human guidance. He said that while AI could assist in various fields, it could not replace human creativity and innovative thinking.
Students from various departments attended the workshop.
