ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday paid rich tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider), on his 78th martyrdom anniversary, acknowledging his supreme sacrifice and extraordinary bravery in defence of the motherland.
In his message, the Speaker said the supreme sacrifice of Saif Janjua Shaheed was a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s national history that would always be remembered with pride and honour.
He said SaifJanjua displayed exceptional courage and valour while confronting the enemy during the 1948 war, laying down his life for the defence of the country and setting an everlasting example of patriotism and devotion to duty.
Ayaz Sadiq said the nation’s armed forces had always rendered supreme sacrifices to safeguard the country’s borders, sovereignty and security.
He added that the martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland were the nation’s true heroes and their sacrifices would continue to inspire generations to come.
The Speaker said Saif Janjua was awarded the country’s highest military gallantry award, Nishan-e-Haider, in recognition of his exceptional bravery and supreme sacrifice.
He reaffirmed that the nation would always remember its heroes and pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s security and integrity.
Ayaz Sadiq also prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed and grant him a place in eternal peace.
