RAWALPINDI, Oct 25 (APP):The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) organized the RCCI Women’s Business & Lifestyle Expo 2026 to promote women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs), support home-based businesses, and create new opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Speaking during an interaction with a visiting delegation from the Department of Business Administration, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), RCCI President Nosherwan Khalil Khan said empowering women entrepreneurs is essential for sustainable economic growth, innovation, and job creation. He emphasized that women-led businesses have significant potential to contribute to Pakistan’s economy and deserve greater access to markets, networking, and business development opportunities.
He said the expo provided a valuable platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, enhance brand visibility, connect with potential customers, and explore business collaborations. Such initiatives help transform home-based ventures into sustainable and competitive enterprises.
The RCCI President highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to SME development, entrepreneurship, and business-friendly policies. He noted that RCCI engages with relevant government organizations, including the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), to promote business growth and facilitate the development of small enterprises.
The FJWU delegation’s visit also strengthened academia-industry linkages, with discussions focusing on entrepreneurship, student engagement, and collaboration between educational institutions and the business community.
The interaction aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical business experience while familiarizing students with market trends and emerging opportunities.
Nosherwan Khalil Khan reaffirmed that RCCI would continue supporting women-led enterprises, encouraging innovation, and facilitating collaboration among entrepreneurs, academia, and industry to build a more inclusive and resilient economy.
