C&W Minister urges international community to ensure Kashmiris’ right to self-determination

C&W Minister urges international community to ensure Kashmiris’ right to self-determination
LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):Punjab Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth
on Tuesday reiterated Pakistan’s continued political, moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.
In his message on Kashmir Black Day, he said that October 27 was a tragic day
in the history of Kashmiri people, as the arrival of Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir
on this day in 1947 marked the beginning of a prolonged period of suffering for them.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people and expressed solidarity with
their struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination. He said Pakistan would
continue to raise its voice for the rights of Kashmiris at every international forum.
The minister stressed that a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance
with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions was imperative. He urged
the international community to play an effective role in ensuring that the Kashmiri people
were granted their fundamental right to self-determination.
He said Pakistan shared an unbreakable bond with Kashmir and would continue
to stand by the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of their legitimate rights.
