PMML welcomes Pakistan’s efforts to unite Muslim countries
LAHORE, Oct 28 (APP):Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) Secretary General Saifullah Qasuri on Wednesday welcomed Pakistan’s efforts to bring Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Iran together, saying unity, mutual understanding and a joint strategy were essential to addressing challenges facing the Muslim Ummah.
Addressing an Istehkam-e-Pakistan and Seerat-un-Nabi conference here on Wednesday, he said those responsible for attacks on the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah, including the Houthis, should not be shown any leniency, adding that protecting the sacred places and ensuring peace and stability across the Muslim world were collective responsibilities of Muslim countries.
Qasuri said Pakistan was an important country in the Muslim world and could play a constructive role in resolving differences among Muslim nations, promoting cooperation and strengthening regional peace.
He stressed that Muslim countries must rise above their differences and unite to safeguard their shared interests. Collective strength, he said, was essential to addressing external challenges and overcoming difficulties confronting the Muslim Ummah.
He said the PMML’s political agenda centred on public service, national sovereignty, economic stability and the protection of Islamic values. Strengthening national unity, ensuring institutional responsibility and addressing public grievances were essential to restoring public confidence and overcoming the country’s current challenges, he added.
PMML Sindh President Faisal Nadeem, Ahmad Nadeem Awan and other party officials were also present on the occasion.
