Four suspects arrested with over five kilograms of weed
KARACHI, Oct 27 (APP):Mochko Police have arrested two men and two women allegedly linked to an inter-provincial drug supply network and recovered more than five kilograms of weed from their possession, SSP Keamari Sanghar Malik said on Tuesday.
He said the suspects were travelling from Hub, Balochistan, to Karachi in a rickshaw when police intercepted them at the Mochko check-post on a tip-off.
The recovered weed had been concealed in 20 boxes for transportation, he added.
According to the SSP, the narcotic was allegedly intended for supply to affluent neighbourhoods and parties in the city.
The arrested suspects were identified as Rizwan, Muhammad Siddiq, Maryam and Saira. Police said Rizwan had previously been arrested in two separate cases and had served time in jail.
A case has been registered against the suspects at Mochko Police Station, and further investigation is underway, police said.
