FDA laboratory generates Rs.1m through 400 tests of building and road construction material
FAISALABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhary held his routine meeting with citizens under the Punjab Government’s Open Door Policy and listened to their individual and collective problems.
He directed the relevant officers to address public complaints promptly and resolve departmental matters on priority basis as unnecessary delay in providing relief to the public would not be tolerated.
DG FDA directed the concerned officials to accelerate operations against illegal housing schemes and take indiscriminate legal action against encroachers and land-grabbing mafias.
He also emphasized eliminating delays in the registration of inheritance-based property transfers, ensuring timely implementation of court decrees and expediting the resolution of other departmental matters.
Muhammad Asif Chaudhary stated that citizens should not have to make unnecessary visits to government offices to get their problems resolved.
He said that all applications must be processed promptly and strictly on merit. Negligence, dishonesty and dereliction of duty in departmental affairs would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict accountability would be ensured for employees found responsible for such conduct, he added.
He instructed the officers to closely monitor the performance of staff in their respective departments and ensure that every task was completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He emphasized that citizens should have no grounds to complain about departmental performance and that pending matters must be resolved without delay rather than being unnecessarily prolonged.
DG FDA stated that resolving public grievances and providing better facilities to citizens were among the institution’s fundamental responsibilities. The purpose of directly hearing citizens’ complaints under the Open Door Policy was to understand their problems and ensure effective measures for their resolution, he added.
He directed the concerned officers to make public service their guiding principle and discharge their duties in accordance with the principles of transparency, merit and accountability.
