Vehari woman expands dairy farm from three cows to over 300
BUREWALA, Oct 27 (APP):A woman dairy farmer from Mauza Jangal Barali in Vehari district has expanded her business from three cows to over 300, producing more than 3,000 litres of milk daily.
Surayya Parveen was awarded the “Khawateen-e-Pakistan” honour by the prime minister in recognition of her achievements.
A delegation of the Vehari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its president Syed Shiraz Raza Kazmi, visited her farm on Tuesday and appreciated its modern management practices.
Surayya Parveen credited her husband and children for their support and urged women to pursue entrepreneurship and financial independence. She said women could start dairy farming with a single cow and gradually expand their businesses through hard work and commitment.
